Hi There!
I’m the face behind the camera , just call me Jen. Thanks for landing here and taking a moment to learn more about me and birth photography and what a doula is. First about me! I have lived in Connecticut all my life, I am a wife and have an amazing and supportive husband and I am a mama to two wonderful kids. I am also a registered nurse and have worked in labor and delivery for my whole career (17 years to be exact!) and I’m a bonafide birth nerd. Even after all this time I am still amazed and in awe of the beauty, strength and resilience of the process and the women I get to help and witness bring life into the world. I am both a certified Doula and Birth Photographer. If I’m not working I love spending time with my family and/or friends, reading, live music and exercising/running.

So why ?
Ever feel a calling to do something? This is that thing for me. While I still love being the bedside nurse , there is something about capturing the raw beauty and strength of labor and birth that has just pulled me in this direction and I have also seen the true impact a prepared couple with a doula has on having a positive empowering birth. My “why” is that this is one of, if not the most important days of your life, so to be able to just “be” in the moments (both you and your partner) and let me help you prepare, get the education you need and support and document it all for you to have forever , in my opinion is priceless. To be able to look back and process your birth and see your beauty and strength is invaluable.
